In May 2016, Nicole Warren launched a new arts effort in Central Florida to embrace a community of limitless dancers; co-founding Chance 2 Dance (a non-profit organization providing dance classes to the special needs community) and as of January 2017 opened Chance 2 Dance Studio in Winter Park, FL, an inclusive and accommodating dance company, specializing in dance classes for varying exceptionalities. Miss Nicole's passion in life is to share her experiences, knowledge, and love for the art of dance, in hopes to cultivate an awareness that dance is universal and has no boundaries. Nicole C. Warren has been dancing since the age of 5. Nicole grew up in Gulf Breeze, FL and was trained with a classical dance foundation of ballet, tap, jazz, and pointe until she was 18. Nicole attended the University of Central Florida and as of 2011 earned a B.S. in Elementary Education as well a TESOL certification and Reading Endorsement. Upon graduating from U.C.F., Nicole was accepted into the Valencia College A.A. Dance-Dance Performance program and was selected to join their pre-professional dance company; Valencia Dance Theatre where she trained and performed for 3 years. Ms. Warren has studied in varying styles, from the classical modern techniques of Graham, Horton, and Limon to being a student of the legendary Al Gilbert and his tap technique. Most recently Nicole earned her Level III Certification as a classical Cecchetti Ballet Teacher and was accepted into Dance Masters of America upon passing the national ballet and jazz exams.
Sara Arment grew up dancing in Western Massachusetts before earning her Bachelors in Dance/Theatre at Manhattanville College in Purchase, NY. She currently lives and works teaching dance in the Daytona Beach area, and also teaches in and around Orlando. She is also a member of Emotions Dance Company. With a background in psychology and growing up with an autistic sister, Sara has always loved working with inclusive performing arts groups.
Savannah has been a musical theater performer for over twelve years now, with her education in the Performing Arts spanning from the Savannah College of Art and Design in Savannah, Georgia, to the University of Central Florida. Savannah is a full-time performer, with her most recent credits including Heather the Musical, and Triassic Parq the Musical, which debuted at the Orlando Fringe Festival in 2016. Savannah's most recent ventures include choreographing for full-scale musical productions, as she made her debut as a choreographer this year with Ghost the musical. In the future, Savannah would like to take her performing to New York and Los Angeles, and firmly believes the sky is the limit when it comes to your dreams!
Kyle is a native of Central Florida, having a background in Strategy & Entrepreneurship, Kyle handles the majority of the 'business' side of C2D. Kyle is a graduate of Samford University in Birmingham, AL with degrees in Finance, Accounting & his MBA. Kyle & Nicole Co-Founded Chance 2 Dance, INC. in March of 2016, and received 501(c)3 status in May of 2016.
Lauren is from southwest Florida where she started dancing at age 3. After graduating high she moved to Gainesville to attend The University of Florida. Upon receiving her Bachelors of Fine Arts, she moved to Orlando to join the entertainment family at Universal Studios. Since starting with chance2dance Lauren has enjoyed staying on her toes with every twist and turn!
Jennifer started dancing at the age of 2 learning varies styles of dance including Graham, Duncan, Horton, Limon and Humphrey. She graduated with a bachelor degree in dance choreography/ performance. For six years she was apart of a mixed ability dance company called Karen Peterson and dancers. Through this company she taught special ability kids in Miami Dade public schools to dance. With the help from grants they toured to Trebinje, Dubrovnik, Montenegro, Croatia, and Serbia performing and providing all inclusive workshops. Jennifer has been apart of several dance companies including Binti Emsemble, Marianna Olivaria Dance Company, Karen Peterson and Dancers, and Jacksonville Dance Theater. She is excited to be apart of the chance 2 dance team.
Andrea Piazza is from Tampa, Florida. She received her BFA in Dance and BS in Psychology from the University of Florida in 2017. She is now a graduate student at the University of Central Florida in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. Andrea has a deep love for the power of dance and seeks to combine dance and counseling in her career. She has been professionally trained in ballet, modern, tap, jazz, hip-hop, acrobatics, and musical theater styles. Her choreographic works have been performed throughout Florida in a variety of venues. Currently she is focusing on research, more specifically dance therapy and its applications in couples counseling. She is also seeking dual licensure as a dance therapist in conjunction with her clinical mental health licensure.
